Are You Really A Christian?

image

These days we have many people say they are Christian, but are they really?  Most American politicians say, that they are Christian.  Some people even think being a Christian is hereditary.  What makes a person a Christian?  Well the early church fathers had a lot to say about that and wrote a standard that is recited in many denominations across the spectrum.  It is referred to as “The Apostles Creed”, it goes like this.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into hell.

The third day He arose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *Christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Amen.

If you do not agree with this Biblical summary of God’s plan for you.  Then you are not a Christian and need to accept the work of Jesus the Messiah into your life.  Don’t delay.
