If you come from a ‘Christianistic’ religious background (Christians and religious people are many times two different things).
Then, you may have a bit of the Dark Ages thinking in you. What are you talking about? Well, in the Dark Ages, many evil people came into the church of the time and began to tried to control others through it.
What does that have to do with me and entering into the Blessed Life? More »

In Japan, we have some 30,000 people a year committing suicide. That is the same size as the student body of the University which I did my undergraduate studies. Can you imagine that? With those numbers, it is like a whole University student body killing themselves because they didn’t like the way things were going. Why would someone want to commit suicide and end it all? Well, the answer comes down to hope.

God is a god of emotions and we are created in His image. If you don’t have emotions, then you are probably not human. However, enjoying your God-given emotions and being overly emotional are two different things. God said, it is okay to be angry once in a while, but we should not sin. What does that mean?

Whatever? What a great word. In Japanese, nandemo is the way we say that. It is such an open opportunity. The Almighty God is our God of opportunity. He has an awesome opportunity lined up for you. Will you take it?

There are a number of good churches but it really depends on what you want. Some are more traditional with hymns and a quiet service. Others are more Spirit-filled singing of Hillsong, Vineyard, and a myriad of other contemporary worship songs. I remember visiting one church and just as I was starting to get into the worship, it finished.

God's Word is very powerful. When I feel low, down, not knowing how to start my prayer time and fellowship with God, I have found the most powerful thing I can do is confess the Word of God over my life, my family, my church, my business. Confess God's Word over everything you do.

In this day and age we live in, Christians are God’s children because they believe him and called on His name (Ro. 10:8,9) God wants us to be confident and strong. Some well-meaning, but ignorant, people who call themselves Christians, tell others things like the ‘meek shall inherit the earth’ and get people to associate meek with weak. This mistruth is a deception that can pull you down. God had a better plan for you.

God has something greater for you. Maybe you are in a financial situation that is below the Biblical prosperity God has for you. Maybe you have got everything you could possible have but you still feel empty. That is because we all need something greater. Humanism, socialism, politics, environmentalism, relationships, drugs, music, sports; nothing can fill our built-in desire to know God.

The year of 2007…what will it be like? Will it
be a year of disasters and catastrophes beyond
imagination as some have predicted? Or
will it be a continuance of the glory of heaven
being manifest? More »

In the 6th chapter of Acts we see that the early church was experiencing growing pains. A church is a gathering of believers. Getting together with other believers is something that God says He blesses. But as with all groups; with more people, come more problems. Who is a good leader that you would want to deal with the challenges of growth?

As an American living in Japan for 15 years, I have had the opportunity to observe many differences between Japanese and Western culture. It is amazing that we are all created by the same Father and loved just as equally but our environments shapes the way we think, act, and respond...

Recently I started weight training in the morning after a ten year lapse. After a long break the first work out is a bit painful, using parts of your bodies that you haven't used in a long time is something your body doesn't let you forget soon

In today's Japan, there's a popular saying: Japanese are "born Shinto, marry Christian, and die Buddhist."
The lines between the predominant religions are blurred in a spiritual hodge-podge.
Many have looked to the economy to fill their 'God vacuum.'
But recently it's been faltering, and many jaded Japanese have lost hope. More »
