Acts 1:8
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

These days we meet many people.  There are many folks who talk about being a Christian, but when you look at their lives you see no power.  I think you could probably say that about any of us at certain times of our lives.  But, is that really God’s plan for us?  Absolutely not!  Don’t settle for being a religious Christian.  We don’t need any more religious folk in this world.  We need people how hear God’s voice and walk in His ways.  People who have the compassion of Jesus the Messiah and heal the sick, raise the dead… People who are an encouragement to the people around them.

This week marks the beginning on our Sunday study of the book of Acts.  Many people call the book of Acts, the Acts of the Apostles.  Some have called it the Acts of the Holy Spirit.  If you want to know what it should really be, it is the Acts of the Apostles by the power of the Holy Spirit.  If you learn to walk in God’s power you will see amazing things happen in your life.  Good things, positive things, powerful things… God things.
